At least 12 people died and 18 others were injured during the past 48 hours after heavy rains and flash floods hit parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The severe weather also damaged homes and disrupted affected communities across several districts.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), the worst-affected districts included Nowshera, Khyber, Mardan, and Buner. Meanwhile, rain-related incidents were also reported in Bajaur, Chitral, Lower Dir, Hazara Division, Kurram, and North Waziristan.

The PDMA said heavy rainfall and flash floods damaged 18 houses across the province. Of those, 15 houses suffered partial damage, while three were completely destroyed.
Moreover, the authority confirmed that the casualties and property losses occurred during the past 48 hours. Officials continued to assess the damage while monitoring weather conditions in vulnerable areas.
Additionally, district administrations have been directed to provide immediate relief assistance to affected families. The instructions aim to ensure timely delivery of essential supplies and emergency support.
