CJP commends innovative design for women facilitation centres

Published on: July 21, 2026 2:36 AM

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Monday graced the concluding ceremony of JUSTICESPACE – An Ideas Design Competition for Women Facilitation Centres, held at the Supreme Court Auditorium.

Organised under the auspices of National Judicial (Policy Making) Committee by the Institute of Architects Pakistan – Rawalpindi Islamabad Chapter (IAP-RIC), the competition sought innovative architectural designs for Women Facilitation Centres aimed at making justice institutions more accessible, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of women.

The event was attended by the Chief Justices of the High Courts, Jurors and Observers of the design competition and members of the architectural community.

Addressing the ceremony, the Chief Justice of Pakistan remarked that access to justice extends beyond legal processes and is also reflected in the spaces where citizens seek legal assistance. He emphasized that thoughtfully designed justice facilities can strengthen public confidence and ensure that women engage with the justice system in an environment of dignity, safety, and respect.

Chief Justice congratulated the winning architects and appreciated all participants, the distinguished Jury, the Institute of Architects Pakistan, and the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP) for their valuable contributions to this important national initiative.

The winning designs were announced and awards were presented to the successful participants.
