The FIFA World Cup trophy will arrive at the New York-New Jersey stadium inside a specially designed Louis Vuitton trunk, continuing a partnership that blends football’s biggest prize with luxury craftsmanship. The French fashion house has once again created the custom case, highlighting the prestige and global importance of the tournament’s most iconic trophy.

The bespoke trunk features a striking golden “V” across the front, representing both “Victory” and “Vuitton.” In addition, it displays the brand’s famous monogram pattern and gold-plated brass corner protectors that enhance both style and durability. Inside, beige leather lining protects the trophy, while a commemorative patch celebrates the long-standing partnership between Louis Vuitton and FIFA.
This marks the fifth consecutive FIFA World Cup for which Louis Vuitton has designed the official trophy trunk. Previously, the company produced custom cases for the 2010, 2014, 2018, and 2022 tournaments. Therefore, the latest design strengthens a successful collaboration that has continued for more than a decade and reflects both organizations’ shared commitment to excellence.

Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari said the partnership represents a shared belief in sport’s ability to inspire people and unite communities worldwide. He explained that both Louis Vuitton and FIFA remain dedicated to celebrating excellence through football while creating memorable experiences around the world’s most watched sporting event.
Meanwhile, luxury brands have built a strong presence across major sporting events by creating premium trophies and presentation pieces. Tiffany & Co. has crafted the Vince Lombardi Trophy awarded to Super Bowl champions since 1967, while Louis Vuitton also designs luxury trophy trunks for Formula 1 under a long-term partnership covering major Grand Prix events.
However, the FIFA World Cup trophy remains one of the rarest and most prestigious prizes in global sport, making its protective travel case especially significant. The trophy normally stays at the FIFA Museum in Zurich, so designing its custom trunk remains a unique honor that highlights the importance of craftsmanship, tradition, and sporting excellence.
