The directive came during a high-level meeting chaired by Bilawal to review major development projects planned for Sindh. The session focused on key initiatives, including the Keti Bandar Integrated Corridor and the Sindh International Financial Centre, both of which are expected to play a significant role in boosting economic growth and regional connectivity.

Officials also briefed the meeting on proposed investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure, data centres, and Farmers Agricultural Collectives across the province. According to the briefing, these projects are expected to create employment opportunities, increase exports, attract domestic and foreign investment, and strengthen Sindh’s position as an emerging economic hub.

Addressing the participants, Bilawal said Sindh’s economic transformation was part of a long-term vision aimed at ensuring sustainable development and improving the quality of life for citizens. He stressed the importance of timely execution of development projects and effective coordination among all relevant departments to maximize their impact.

Separately, Bilawal met Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab to review the progress of six major development projects currently underway in the city. During the meeting, the mayor provided updates on completed and ongoing infrastructure schemes designed to improve urban mobility and civic services.

Murtaza Wahab informed Bilawal that the Ibrahim Hyderi Bridge had been completed within 120 days, while the Azeempura Flyover was finished in just 93 days. He also said that the 100-million-gallon-per-day sewage treatment plant at Gutter Baghicha had entered its final stage of completion and would significantly improve Karachi’s wastewater management capacity.

The review reflects the PPP leadership’s continued emphasis on infrastructure development, economic modernization, and improved municipal services as part of its broader strategy to support Karachi’s growth and strengthen Sindh’s economy.
