KSA launches ‘Package Visa’ to simplify travel for Pakistanis, other visitors

Published on: July 8, 2026 4:30 AM

Saudi Arabia on Tuesday launched a new digital “Package Visa” initiative that integrates tourist visa applications with travel bookings, part of the Kingdom’s push to simplify entry procedures as it seeks to attract more international visitors, including from key markets such as Pakistan.

The initiative, announced by the Saudi Tourism Authority, allows eligible travelers to apply for a tourist visa as part of booking an integrated travel package through qualified travel providers. Instead of arranging flights, accommodation and visas separately, visitors can complete the process through a single booking that can also include events, activities and other tourism experiences.

“As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors,” Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb said in a statement.

“By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience,” he added.

“This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”

Saudi Arabia remains one of the most important overseas destinations for Pakistanis, who travel to the Kingdom each year for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages, employment, business and tourism. Pakistani travel to Saudi Arabia increased from 2.7 million in 2024 to an estimated 2.87 million in 2025, according to figures presented by Pakistan’s travel industry earlier this year at a Saudi tourism event in Karachi.

The Package Visa is available through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet Saudi service standards and offer round-the-clock customer support. Besides combining visa applications with travel bookings, the platform allows travelers to add tourism experiences and activities as part of a single itinerary.

Saudi authorities said the initiative is being rolled out through selected international travel providers before a broader expansion to additional markets.
