
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed Pakistani embassies around the world to speed up efforts to identify employment opportunities for young Pakistanis. During a review meeting in Islamabad, he emphasized that youth employment opportunities should be expanded through better international coordination, skills training, and improved access to overseas jobs.
The Prime Minister instructed Pakistani embassies to actively search for new job openings abroad and provide timely information about available positions. He also ordered the complete digitalization of the Protectorate of Emigration system to make overseas employment services more efficient and accessible.
Shehbaz Sharif directed the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, NAVTTC, and the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to ensure that young people receive vocational training, language courses, and internationally recognized certifications. He also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation with foreign institutions so that Pakistani certifications meet global standards.
During the meeting, officials informed the Prime Minister that more than 800,000 young people have already registered on the Digital Youth Hub. They added that training programs are continuing to prepare Pakistanis for overseas employment, while embassies will regularly upload information about job openings and required qualifications to the Digital Youth Hub portal.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan has a talented workforce and that the government is committed to improving its global competitiveness. He instructed all relevant institutions to work together to increase youth employment opportunities and help more young Pakistanis secure decent jobs in international markets.
