Second foreign woman records statement in Lahore assault case

Published on: July 4, 2026 5:02 PM

A second foreign woman has recorded her statement before a judicial magistrate in connection with the alleged abduction and sexual assault case in Lahore, providing further details about the events that investigators are examining.

According to her statement, Stephani Adriana said she first met prime suspect Raza Dar at a cryptocurrency event in Singapore, where the two later developed a business relationship. She alleged that Dar introduced himself as the son of a Pakistani minister and displayed a WhatsApp profile photo with a former prime minister, which contributed to her trust in him.

Stephani told the magistrate that after arriving in Pakistan, she and her companion were allegedly held against their will. She claimed the suspects repeatedly demanded access to money and cryptocurrency-related assets. According to her statement, the accused used her mobile phone to send messages to her contacts requesting money, but initially received no response.

She further alleged that the group threatened her with broken glass and warned that she would be harmed if their demands were not met. The complainant stated that the suspects continued to pressure the women while they remained in captivity.

According to Stephani, Raza Dar later informed them that all the demanded money had been received and that they were free to leave. She said he returned their passports and drove the women toward the airport while speaking to someone on the phone. During the journey, she claimed the caller told Dar that “the boss’s instructions were different.”

Stephani stated that after the vehicle collided with another car, she and the other woman jumped out and called for help. Members of the public alerted traffic police, who responded to the scene. She further alleged that they later encountered another police vehicle, including a female officer, after which they felt safe.

Police are continuing their investigation into the case. The allegations made by the complainant have been recorded before the magistrate and remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.
