LESCO Decides on Large-Scale Officer Reshuffle Over Performance Concerns

Published on: June 27, 2026 1:16 AM

LESCO officer reshuffle

LESCO officer reshuffle has been approved as the power distribution company prepares a major administrative overhaul based on officials’ annual performance. According to sources, LESCO Chief Executive Ramzan Butt has completed a one-year performance review, which will be used to determine transfers and new appointments.

The report states that underperforming Executive Engineers (XENs), Superintending Engineers (SEs), and Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) will be removed from their current positions. The appointments and transfers are expected to take place during the second week of July.

Sources also said that officers who have remained posted in high-performing divisions for several years will be transferred. As part of the plan, SEs and XENs are expected to be posted to Okara, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur.

In addition, the LESCO chief executive is expected to submit the company’s losses and recovery report to the board in July. The report will review the performance of field officers and assess progress in reducing electricity losses and improving bill recovery.

Officials added that LESCO officer reshuffle is also linked to allegations of corruption against several XENs and SDOs. The administration aims to improve accountability, strengthen operational efficiency, and enhance overall performance across the utility.
