Rs 2,403 million set aside for Law Ministry

The Federal government has allocated a total of Rs 2,403 million for the Ministry of Law and Justice under the PSDP 2026-27 against ongoing and new schemes. An amount of Rs. 1,380 million has been allocated for ongoing projects while Rs 1, 023 for the new schemes. As per the PSDP document, among the ongoing projects, the Construction of Federal Courts/Tribunals Complex at Karachi has received an allocation of Rs 200 million. The Construction of Legal Facilitation Center at Islamabad High Court has been allocated Rs 228.306 million, while the Construction of Litigants Facilitation Center for District Courts in G-10/1, Islamabad has been allocated Rs 261.8 million. The Construction of Admin Block of Supreme Court Branch Registry at Quetta has received Rs 226.7 million, and the Expansion of Supreme Court Branch Registry at Karachi has been allocated Rs 290.5 million. The Construction of Camp Office for Federal Shariat Court at Peshawar received Rs 39.2 million, and the Construction of Federal Courts Complex at Peshawar has been allocated Rs 34.7 million. Other ongoing projects include Automation of Federal Courts/Tribunals (Phase-II) with Rs 16.773 million, Archiving and Digitalization of Legislation with Rs 12.228 million, Strengthening of Planning and Monitoring Unit with Rs 3.001 million, and Strengthening of Legal Wings of Federal Ministries with Rs 50 million. The construction of the offices of the Attorney General of Pakistan, Advocate/Prosecutor General and other allied offices has been allocated Rs 16.9 million. Under new schemes, the acquisition of land for official residences of IHC Chief Justice and judges at the Diplomatic Enclave has been allocated Rs 703 million, and the construction of residences for judges of the Federal Constitution Court has been allocated Rs 300 million. A feasibility study for the IHC judges’ residences has received Rs 20 million.
