Iran escalates warning amid US tensions

Published on: June 10, 2026 9:17 PM

Iran has warned regional countries against allowing the United States or Israel to use their territory for operations against Tehran. The warning comes amid escalating military tensions and recent cross-border strikes. The statement signals rising regional risk and affects neighbouring Gulf states and broader Middle East security.

Iran’s Foreign Ministry issued the warning on social media platform X, strongly condemning recent US military actions. It described the strikes as a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law. Moreover, Tehran said it considers any regional cooperation with US or Israeli forces a hostile act.

The ministry said Iranian forces had already responded to attacks by targeting US military bases in the region. It added that Iran would continue to exercise its right to self-defence under international law. Furthermore, officials warned that Tehran would not hesitate to strike back against any further aggression.

Meanwhile, Iran called on neighbouring countries, particularly Gulf states, to block any use of their facilities by US or Israeli forces. It urged the United Nations to hold Washington accountable for recent strikes. Additionally, the statement highlighted Iran’s claim that it had acted in response to what it called battlefield provocations.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also warned the United States to withdraw from the region. He said Iran’s armed forces would respond strongly to any future attacks. However, analysts say the rhetoric reflects deepening confrontation and growing instability across the Middle East.
