Sharing her excitement on social media, the actor said she will be carrying forward the legacy of legendary Pakistani artist Begum Shamim Ara at the festival, expressing pride in representing Pakistan on an international stage.

The Cannes Film Festival is considered one of the most prestigious events in the global film industry, often serving as a platform for emerging and established talent to gain worldwide recognition.

Sanam Saeed’s participation adds to the growing list of Pakistani artists gaining international visibility. In previous years, actors and filmmakers from Pakistan have also made appearances at global film events, contributing to the country’s cultural representation abroad.
