India’s miscalculation met with firm response, says Azma on Marka-e-Haq anniversary

Published on: May 6, 2026 2:02 AM

Punjab Minister for Information and Culture, Azma Bokhari, has stated that in May 2025, India committed one of the biggest mistakes in its history by orchestrating the Pahalgam false flag operation and imposing aggression on Pakistan. She said that Pakistan responded swiftly and effectively, delivering a decisive blow that will be remembered by generations to come.

Azma Bokhari said that the Armed Forces of Pakistan crushed India’s arrogance within moments, while the Pakistan Air Force neutralized enemy aircraft with remarkable precision, scattering them “like straw in the air.” She added that even a year later, the Indian military has not been able to overcome the shock of its defeat in the May conflict.

She further stated that this historic victory in the “Battle of Truth” has been acknowledged globally, and the Pakistan Army has been recognized as one of the most professional and capable forces in the world. According to her, the destruction of Indian warplanes continues to make headlines in international media.

The Minister noted that Operation Bunyan Marsoos has now become a case study for armed forces around the world, with Pakistan’s military strategy and professionalism being widely appreciated. She reaffirmed that, by the grace of Almighty Allah, Pakistan’s defense remains in strong and capable hands.

Azma Bokhari emphasized that during the May conflict, the Pakistani nation stood like a solid wall alongside its armed forces, and even today, the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its military to counter any form of aggression. She concluded by stating that whenever Pakistan’s defense is at stake, the entire nation will remain united and speak with one voice.

‘Marka-e-Haq historic milestone in national unity’

Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan on Tuesday termed the Pakistan’s success in Operation “Bunyan-al-Marsoos” a historic milestone.

Addressing a press conference at the Punjab Assembly, he said the operation not only crushed the adversary’s arrogance but also demonstrated unprecedented national unity and cohesion.

The speaker announced that a special session of the Punjab Assembly would be convened to pay tribute to this achievement, during which a unanimous resolution would also be adopted.

He said that India, using the Pahalgam incident as a pretext, leveled allegations against Pakistan without presenting any credible evidence and attempted to escalate tension in the region. However, Pakistan, through a measured and responsible approach, effectively projected its position on the diplomatic front and presented the truth before the international community. He emphasized that Pakistan consistently offered transparent investigations and impartial mediation, reflecting its commitment as a responsible and peace-loving state.

He further remarked that in times of conflict, truth was often the first casualty, however, Pakistani media demonstrated professional integrity by conveying facts accurately to both the public and the global audience. He reiterated that while Pakistan possesses full defensive capability and the capacity to respond to any aggression, its foremost priority remains the establishment of sustainable peace and stability in the region.

Paying tribute to the national leadership, he commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership, particularly Field Marshal General Asim Munir, for their strategic acumen. He noted that under their leadership, Pakistan not only ensured national security but also elevated its standing at the global level.

PA Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan highlighted that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif was actively pursuing a comprehensive agenda of social and developmental reforms across the province. Initiatives such as “Suthra Punjab Program,” improved waste management systems, mass transit projects, and various public welfare schemes are clear indicators of positive transformation.
