Iran envoy praises Dar for diplomatic efforts

Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam has praised Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for facilitating diplomatic talks with the United States. The remarks highlight Pakistan’s role in regional diplomacy amid ongoing efforts to reduce tensions between Iran and the US. The appreciation matters as dialogue remains central to regional stability and conflict prevention.

In a post on X, Moghadam expressed gratitude for Dar and Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry diplomats. He described them as key contributors to international dialogue and peacebuilding. He said diplomats play a vital role in managing complex global relations through patience and understanding. His statement emphasized the importance of behind-the-scenes diplomatic work.

Moreover, the Iranian envoy acknowledged Pakistan’s efforts in organizing and supporting negotiations. He said Foreign Ministry officials worked tirelessly to prepare arrangements before talks began. He added that their work helped translate political will into practical diplomatic processes. The comments highlighted Pakistan’s operational role in facilitating dialogue.

Additionally, Moghadam said diplomacy requires more than words and depends on sustained effort. He stressed that professionalism and commitment are essential for achieving peace. His remarks came as Pakistan continues backchannel engagement involving multiple international partners. Several countries have recently praised Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach efforts.

Finally, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has held discussions with counterparts from the United Kingdom, Canada, and Egypt on regional developments. All sides emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomatic engagement. Pakistan has positioned itself as a mediator in US-Iran tensions. Recent talks in Islamabad, however, did not produce a breakthrough despite active negotiations.
