Police constable Ahsan, who was on duty at the location, sustained a bullet injury to his leg during the exchange of fire. He was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. No other injuries or casualties were reported among attendees or staff.

Law enforcement personnel responded quickly to the attack and engaged the assailant in an exchange of fire, resulting in his death at the scene. Officials said the prompt action helped secure the area and prevent further escalation.

Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, took immediate notice of the incident and ordered a detailed investigation. He also directed authorities to identify any individuals or groups that may have facilitated the attack.

Security forces have launched a broader investigation and are collecting forensic evidence from the site. Additional police contingents have been deployed in the surrounding area to ensure security and maintain public order.

Authorities noted that this is not the first attack targeting Engineer Muhammad Ali Mirza. Earlier incidents had also been reported at the same location, prompting concerns over his security.
