Balochistan Chief Minister, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has lauded the opposition members of the provincial assembly for demonstrating patience, tolerance, and responsibility in parliamentary proceedings, calling their conduct “commendable.”
The Chief Minister made these remarks during a meeting with opposition members led by Leader of the Opposition Mir Younus Aziz Zehri. The meeting focused on parliamentary affairs, the upcoming fiscal year’s budget, and development projects.
Both sides agreed that the priorities of the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) for the next financial year should be aligned with public needs and ground realities, ensuring that the benefits of development reach citizens directly.
Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that treasury and opposition members are equally elected representatives of the people, and constructive proposals in the public interest will always be welcomed. He described the Balochistan Assembly as a unique blend of parliamentary traditions and provincial values, where mutual respect, tolerance, and ethical conduct are upheld.
He praised the opposition’s parliamentary role, noting their consistent display of patience and responsibility, which distinguishes the assembly from other legislatures. Bugti reaffirmed his government’s commitment to including feasible and approved development schemes in the PSDP to ensure balanced and sustainable progress across the province.
Opposition leader Mir Younus Aziz Zehri and other members expressed appreciation for the Chief Minister’s positive approach, respect for parliamentary traditions, and commitment to constructive dialogue. They acknowledged Sarfraz Bugti’s openness to positive criticism, describing it as vital for strengthening the democratic process.
