
Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have agreed to further strengthen their strategic partnership, with both sides committing to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and broader economic development.

The understanding was reached during a high-level meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Finance, held at the Prime Minister’s House in Islamabad.
According to an official statement, the visiting Saudi delegation conveyed greetings from King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while reaffirming the Kingdom’s continued support for Pakistan’s economic stability. Both sides exchanged warm sentiments and reiterated their commitment to long-standing fraternal ties.

The Prime Minister appreciated Saudi Arabia’s financial and economic assistance over the years, stating that such support has played a significant role in strengthening Pakistan’s economic resilience. He also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration in key sectors such as trade expansion, investment flows, and infrastructure development.
Officials noted that both countries agreed to broaden economic engagement in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to diversify the Kingdom’s economy and enhance international partnerships. The meeting also included discussions on regional peace and stability, reflecting shared interests in maintaining security in the wider region.
Senior Pakistani officials, including Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, also attended the meeting.
Saudi representatives expressed strong interest in increasing economic ties with Pakistan, particularly in investment opportunities and joint development projects. Both sides emphasized that the relationship is based on mutual trust, shared values, and long-term strategic alignment.
