
Pakistan and Somalia have signed an agreement allowing visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic passports. The deal aims to strengthen bilateral relations. It also encourages closer cooperation between the two countries.
The agreement was signed by Somalia’s Foreign Ministry Secretary and Pakistan’s Interior Ministry Secretary. During the ceremony, Somalia’s Interior Minister Ali Yusuf met President Asif Ali Zardari. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing diplomatic and strategic ties between the nations.

President Zardari highlighted Africa’s importance in the global geopolitical landscape. He emphasized Pakistan’s desire to expand cooperation with African countries. He described Pakistan’s partnership with Somalia as valuable and mutually beneficial in areas of shared interest.
The leaders also discussed joint efforts to combat cross-border crime and drug trafficking. They stressed stronger security cooperation and coordination between law enforcement agencies. Both countries aim to maintain safe borders and effective law enforcement strategies.
