Scrubs is officially scrubbing back in — 15 years later

ABC Network’s beloved medical sitcom Scrubs is officially returning after more than 15 years, with a long-awaited 10th season now confirmed. The first reboot teaser has been released, stirring excitement among fans who have waited over a decade to revisit the quirky world of Sacred Heart Hospital.

Created by Bill Lawrence, Scrubs originally aired from 2001 to 2010, first on NBC and later on ABC. The series followed John “JD” Dorian, played by Zach Braff, as he navigated the chaotic world of medicine alongside his best friend Chris Turk and his love interest Elliot Reid. Known for its blend of heartfelt storytelling and absurd comedic moments, the show built a devoted fanbase that remained active long after the series finale.

The new teaser, unveiled on Instagram, brings back JD, Turk and Elliot walking through the familiar hospital lobby — visibly older but still full of their trademark charm. JD enthusiastically declares, “I am back, baby!” before the trio awkwardly encounters a group of new interns who don’t recognize them. Moments later, fan favourites Carla and Dr Perry Cox make their return, prompting the original cast to effortlessly fall back into their iconic comedic rhythm.

The #Scrubs revival trailer brings Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes and John C. McGinley back to Sacred Heart, 15 years after the comedy series ended.
