The Islamabad District and Sessions Courts extended on Tuesday the pre-arrest bail of former prime minister Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the May 9 riots and five other cases. Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Mujooka presided over the hearing involving the PTI founder, including the May 9 incident as well as five other related matters. As the former PM did not appear before the court, the court could not hear arguments on the bail petitions and adjourned proceedings until December 23.
Court adjourns hearing in Nov 26 protest case against Bushra Bibi
The District & Sessions Court of Islamabad delayed proceedings in the November 26 protest case against Bushra Bibi after the presiding judge went on leave.
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) adjourned the hearing till December 1, summoning prosecution witnesses in the November 26, protest case against PTI workers. Judge Tahir Abbas Sapra heard the case. During the hearing, the PTI workers submitted their power of attorney to the court. The court summoned the prosecution witnesses for the next hearing and adjourned the hearing till December 1. A case has been registered against the PTI workers at Tarnol police station under terrorism provisions and the statements of the witnesses will be recorded in the next hearing.
