The 7th All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest was held at Cadet College Sanghar. In this event, various sessions were arranged to highlight national as well as local talent. These included school, college, and university categories. A separate session for the school category was kept to effectively listen to local talent, in which 09 schools from Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Shahdadpur, and Shaheed Benazirabad participated.
In the college and university categories, 66 best speakers from 33 well-known educational institutions from all over the country took part. The speakers delivered impressive speeches on serious as well as humorous topics. Professors and literary and academic personalities from well-known institutions of Pakistan performed the duties of judges. Heads of educational institutions and senior civil officials also attended the event.
The chief guest of this splendid ceremony was Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Minister for Local Government and Housing & Town Planning Department, Government of Sindh. Senator Qurat-ul-Ain Marri and Nawabzada Jam Shabbir Ali Khan also participated.
While addressing the audience, the chief guest said that Pakistan is a blessing of Allah Almighty for us. We should highlight the positive aspects of our homeland in our speeches and writings. He further congratulated the speakers who showed outstanding performance and appreciated the efforts of Cadet College Sanghar for the successful organization of the competition.
Earlier, the Commandant/Principal of Cadet College Sanghar, Commodore Zeeshan Ali, Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military), presented the welcome address. He thanked the chief guest, the distinguished guests who came from all over the country, and all the respected participants of the declamation contest. He also shed detailed light on the importance of public speaking.
In the 7th All Pakistan Bilingual Declamation Contest, in the English declamation school category, Bahria Foundation College Sanghar secured the first position, Hayat School (HM Campus) Hyderabad secured the second, while Memon School and College Shahdadpur secured the third position.
In the Urdu declamation school category, Memon School and College Shahdadpur secured the first position, Cadet College Ormara secured the second, while Cadet College Larkana secured the third position.
In the English declamation college category, Cadet College Ormara secured the first position, Cadet College Petaro secured the second, while Cadet College Larkana secured the third position.
In the Urdu declamation college category, Hayat School & College (Main Campus) Hyderabad secured the first position, Government Degree College Malir Cantt Karachi secured the second, while Bakhtawar Cadet College secured the third position.
In the English declamation university category, Bahria University secured the first position, Government College University secured the second, while Bahria University of Health Sciences secured the third position.
In the Urdu declamation university category, the University of Karachi secured the first position, Pakistan Navy Engineering College (PNEC) Karachi secured the second, while Pakistan Marine Academy secured the third position.
During the ceremony, attractive cultural tableaus were also presented. The participants and guests visited the Riding Club, Shooting Range, Faiz Mahal Art Gallery, Swimming Pool, the college gardens, and other places. Along with this, a horse-carriage ride and fresh tea at the college dairy farm were also arranged, which the guests greatly enjoyed. The participants, during their stay, paid rich tribute to the college administration for their excellent hospitality.
