Lebanese President orders Army to resist any Israeli incursion

Published on: October 30, 2025 7:00 PM

Lebanese President Michel Aoun has ordered the army to strongly resist any future Israeli incursions in southern Lebanon. He warned the military to remain vigilant after recent attacks. Tensions have risen as Israeli forces repeatedly violated the ceasefire agreement established in November last year. Officials emphasized that Lebanon’s sovereignty must be defended, and any violation will face a firm response.

Israeli forces have recently carried out multiple attacks on Lebanese territory. The strikes included raids on border towns, including Blida. These actions have raised concerns about escalating violence in the region. President Aoun stated that the army must act decisively to prevent further intrusions. The move signals a shift in Lebanon’s response to repeated Israeli operations.

Typically, the Lebanese army does not engage directly with Israel like Hezbollah. However, President Aoun indicated that patience with Israeli aggression has run out. The army will now take a proactive stance if Israeli forces enter Lebanese territory. This order also strengthens coordination between the military and resistance groups. Analysts say the decision could affect regional security dynamics in the coming weeks.

Hezbollah welcomed President Aoun’s directive, showing support for Lebanon’s official military stance. The announcement came just hours after Israeli troops raided Blida’s town hall. During the raid, municipal worker Ibrahim Salameh was killed. Israel claimed the operation targeted Hezbollah infrastructure due to an “immediate threat.” These developments have increased fears of further clashes along the border.

Officials stressed that Lebanon will respond firmly to any violations of its territory. The army is preparing for potential future incursions while coordinating with local authorities. Citizens were urged to remain calm but aware of ongoing security measures. Observers say this directive demonstrates Lebanon’s commitment to defending its sovereignty. The situation remains tense, with both sides closely monitoring developments.
