Heavy rain, storms expected across Pakistan from October 2 to 7

Published on: October 1, 2025 6:50 PM

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain and strong winds across Pakistan from October 2 to 7. Punjab and Islamabad will see rain and hail from October 3 to 6. Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will experience rain and occasional storms during this period. These weather changes may cause disruptions and affect daily life in these regions.

Additionally, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to receive rain on October 2 and 3. After that, snowfall may begin in Kashmir from October 4 to 7, lowering temperatures. Sindh will also face rain starting tonight until October 3. Meanwhile, Balochistan is expected to get rain and stormy winds between October 4 and 6, affecting many districts.

Authorities warn of possible urban flooding in low-lying areas due to heavy rain. Flash floods may also occur in rivers and streams, causing risks for nearby communities. Therefore, the Meteorological Department has instructed local agencies to stay alert and prepare for emergencies. The snowfall in the mountains could cause a sharp drop in temperature, impacting people and livestock.

Officials advise residents to take safety precautions during this period of unsettled weather. They recommend avoiding unnecessary travel and securing homes and properties against storms. Moreover, farmers should prepare for the weather as it may affect crops and livestock health. Authorities will continue to monitor the situation closely and share timely updates with the public.

In conclusion, the coming days may bring severe weather challenges across Pakistan. Staying informed and prepared will help reduce risks and protect lives. The Meteorological Department urges everyone to follow weather warnings and stay safe throughout the week.
