RAWALPINDI – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur met with PTI founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail on Monday, holding a private meeting in the jail’s conference room that lasted over two hours. Gandapur was allowed entry to the facility and departed shortly after the discussion concluded.
Meanwhile, on the legal front, the District and Sessions Court Islamabad cancelled the non-bailable arrest warrants previously issued against Gandapur in the audio leak case. The cancellation followed the appearance of his lawyer, Raja Zahoor-ul-Hasan, who informed the court that the Peshawar High Court had granted Gandapur protection from arrest for three weeks in any case.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Nasr Minallah reviewed the matter, stating, “Submit a written request, and I will review it.” A formal application was subsequently submitted by Gandapur’s counsel and accepted, leading to the official cancellation of the non-bailable warrants.
