Maryam Nawaz expressed serious concern over wheat losses during recent floods in Khanewal. She blamed negligence for the damage and removed the Director General of the Food Department from his post. Additionally, the entire district food control staff was suspended. The government stressed that wheat must be stored safely and moved on time to avoid future losses.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister ordered that all shops must display official price lists clearly. She warned that strict penalties would follow any violations.
