The development took place during a meeting between Pakistan’s Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik and Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Md. Iqbal Hussain, held at the Ministry of Petroleum. The talks centered on expanding cooperation in key resource sectors.
Minister Malik highlighted Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s commitment to building stronger relations with Bangladesh. He said Pakistan values its partnership with Bangladesh and is open to joint ventures that promote shared progress and energy security.
The meeting explored knowledge-sharing, investment opportunities, and trade in natural resources, especially in coal and limestone, which Bangladesh seeks to support its growing industrial needs. Officials from both sides expressed interest in developing long-term partnerships in exploration and trade.
The Bangladeshi High Commissioner welcomed Pakistan’s willingness to collaborate, noting the economic and strategic benefits of such cooperation. The talks mark another step in improving bilateral relations and opening up new avenues for regional trade and development.
