Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann vacation in Saint-Tropez

Published on: July 16, 2025 6:18 AM

Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann’s latest getaway is just like heaven. Nearly a year after the Legally Blonde star and the financier sparked romance rumours with a quiet outing in New York, they took their relationship to the next level with a trip to Saint-Tropez. And while aboard a yacht in the luxurious French destination, the couple put their romance on display. Indeed, the pair kissed and hugged each other while sitting with their knees in a pool aboard the boat and were, at one point, even stealing kisses while swimming, per photos obtained by People. For the day date, Reese, 49, sported a white scalloped edge one-piece with cross straps across the back, while Oliver, 57, donned a simple pair of blue patterned trunks.

Reese’s romance with the businessman comes more than a year after her rep shut down speculation that she had begun dating Kevin Costner following her split from Jim Toth. But now, it appears Reese is enjoying something new after her drama-free divorce from the entertainment executive nearly 12 years after they tied the knot in 2011.

“It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the former couple-who share 12-year-old Tennessee Toth-wrote in a statement at the time. “We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for everything we have created together.” Reese-also mom to daughter Ava Phillippe, 25, and Deacon Phillippe, 21, with ex Ryan Phillippe-noticed the drastic difference between her latest divorce and her and Ryan’s 2008 divorce.

“It’s interesting what happened to me,” Reese reflected in a 2023 interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “When I was divorced before, the tabloid media got to tell people how I was feeling or how I was processing and it felt very out of control.” In this stage of her life, Reese is grateful that she understands how to take hold of her own narrative. As she put it, “It feels much more authentic to be able to say things in my own voice and not let somebody else control what’s happening.
