The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that hot and humid weather will persist across most parts of the country on Wednesday. However, rain, wind, and thundershowers are expected at isolated spots in the northern and upper regions, offering some relief from the rising temperatures.
In Islamabad, the weather will remain humid and partly cloudy, with a 35 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms in the capital and its surrounding areas. Authorities are closely monitoring conditions as scattered showers may impact traffic and public movement.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will experience partly cloudy skies, with intermittent rain likely in areas such as Swat, Dir, Kohistan, Malakand, and Peshawar. Other regions including Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Kohat may also receive brief spells of rain and thunder.
Punjab will mostly remain hot and sticky, but some areas including Murree, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Sialkot could witness scattered rain or thunderstorms. Similar weather is forecast for parts of Balochistan, particularly in Khuzdar, Barkhan, Zhob, and Mastung, where isolated rain may occur.
On the other hand, Sindh continues to endure intense heat and humidity, with no significant rainfall expected in the coming days. In contrast, Kashmir may see rain-wind or thundershowers, while Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to stay dry and hot.
Officials have advised the public to stay hydrated, limit outdoor exposure, and be cautious during expected rain spells. Residents in low-lying areas should also prepare for possible urban flooding and waterlogging due to heavy showers in vulnerable zones.
