Flag march in Muzaffargarh

Published on: June 29, 2025 1:56 AM

On the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, a flag march was held in Muzaffargarh to ensure law and order in the district. The march was led by Deputy Commissioner Qurat-ul-Ain Memon and District Police Officer Dr Muhammad Rizwan, and included personnel from the police, Rangers, Rescue 1122 and other relevant departments.

The march began and ended at the DC office, passing through several key and sensitive areas of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Memon said that all possible measures would be taken to maintain lasting peace in the district. “No miscreant will be allowed to disturb public order. All institutions are fully alert and ready to deal with any situation,” she said, adding that religious scholars from all schools of thought were supporting the administration’s peace efforts.

She also said that public gatherings and processions were being closely monitored, while roads had been widened and cleaned, and lighting had been improved to enhance safety during the night.

District Police Officer Dr Rizwan said that foolproof security arrangements had been made across the district. “All gatherings and processions are being monitored through CCTV under the Safe City project, and police officers are present on the ground to ensure public safety,” he said.

The event was attended by Sardar Noman Dogar, Deputy Director Agriculture Abdul Razaq, and a large number of local landowners and farmers.
