Naked Propaganda

December 31, 2023 by Ali Anwar

Over the past few days, there has been a propaganda campaign on social media by certain non-professional journalists, suggesting that the Baloch community is not being given the respect it deserves. They harbor grudges, linking the issues of disappearances in Balochistan to anti-Pakistan statements by hostile forces. Through this column, I will strive to highlight the respect and dignity extended to the Baloch community and counter the false narratives created by these non-professional Baloch individuals. It is essential to present the true sentiments of all of Pakistan towards the Baloch and shed light on how Pakistan perceives the Baloch people. There is no discrimination against the Baloch as Pakistanis; people from other provinces, including the government and individuals from Punjab, empathize with Balochistan’s status as a smaller province. Whenever Baloch individuals visit other provinces, they receive special respect and hospitality. Hotels named after Quetta may not be as numerous in Balochistan as those working in Punjab. Still, individuals are not subjected to any bias based on their ethnicity, and there is no restriction preventing them from doing business in Punjab. Additionally, Baloch students have the freedom to pursue education in private and government colleges across the country, including top universities where quotas are allocated, and special concessions are provided to Baloch students in terms of fees and accommodations. The aspirations of Baloch students, from small to large, are specifically considered to ensure they do not feel discriminated against. After completing their education, Baloch graduates are offered special jobs nationwide, covering various fields. Specifically focusing on Punjab, it is essential to emphasize that people in Punjab harbor no resentment towards any community. In Punjab, Pathans, Baloch, Sindhis, and others work and coexist peacefully. Every other hotel or establishment in Punjab may be owned by a Pathan or a Baloch. The government and people in Punjab show special consideration for Baloch individuals, providing them with complete opportunities and facilities for residence and business. Every effort is made at the governmental level to ensure no discrimination against Balochistan. The facilities in health, education, and business in Balochistan are no less than those in other provinces. After the 18th Amendment, provinces are responsible for utilizing their resources, and Balochistan, too, has control over its means. However, it is essential to ask the Baloch leaders who have been in power for 75 years but have kept their people deprived of resources, which are often misused. Not once in the past 75 years has a Chief Minister of Balochistan been someone other than a Baloch chosen by the people. Those who complain that the federal government does not give them their rights should first question the Baloch leaders who have been in power for 75 years but have kept their people deprived. Here, I would also like to remind those non-professional journalists that despite all the facilities and opportunities, some opportunistic elements within the journalist community misuse the name of the Baloch community to propagate unwarranted propaganda against the country. Yet, they remain silent when it comes to the death of a Punjabi. The corrupt elements within the journalist community don’t condemn the killing of Punjabis, nor have they ever visited the homes of Punjabi laborers to inquire about their well-being.

Those who complain that the federal government does not give them their rights should first question the Baloch leaders who have been in power for 75 years but have kept their people deprived.

In reality, some unscrupulous journalists align themselves with the enemies’ agenda, working to create unrest among the Baloch people and undermine the country, all while avoiding condemnation of the killing of Punjabis. This corrupt faction within the journalist community consistently engages in a sinister conspiracy, supporting foreign agendas and undermining institutions to harm the Baloch people. Their goal is to strengthen the agendas of their foreign masters. This non-professional journalist group, not affiliated with any institution, continues to profit from spreading lies rather than serving the national interest.

Such individuals tarnish the sacred field of journalism and are unworthy of being called journalists. The entire nation condemns these deceptive people who are not contributing to the country’s security and prosperity but instead support foreign agendas.

It is crucial to deal firmly with these individuals who pose a threat to national integrity so that the country’s identity can be improved. p style, established personal dominance in the party and led China as a prosperous nation since he took charge as president.
