KARACHI: London’s Metropolitan Police on Monday cancelled the bail notices to Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and five other party members in the money laundering case, the British media reported. The Metropolitan police released a statement stating that all the six accused had been informed of the decision. It however said that the charges against them had not been dropped and they had not been arrested. Metropolitan police however made it clear that the bail cancellation did not mean that action would not be taken against the six men. The police statement does not include the names of the suspects but their ages and dates of arrest. Police said no time frame could be given for the completion of investigation. The police statement clearly stated the money seized in this case would remain in their custody until the inquiry ends.
