ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s ineligibility case was on Wednesday heard in Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi’s petition in which Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar demanded Imran Khan to prove Jemima’s five money transactions. Justice Saqib Nisar said that Imran Khan has to justify that the money was sent by Jemima, as the decision of this case cannot be taken until the record from her comes. The PTI chairman’s counsel Naeem Bukhari said that Jemima has ensured that she will soon provide the documents. The CJP remarked that Imran did not declare his London flat before amnesty scheme, upon which Naeem Bukhari responded that Imran was a common man when he took benefit of tax amnesty scheme. Bukhari said it was a mistake to not reveal Niazi Services Limited, not dishonesty. Justice Faisal Arab said to Naeem Bukhari that you are negating your statement yourself. PML-N lawyer Akram Sheikh involved in a dialogue with CJP and said that Naeem Bukhari is still on the fourth point and plans to go abroad as well, therefore, this case would not reach its conclusion soon. Naeem Bukhari replied to Akram Sheikh and asked him to show patience. He pointed out that Akram Sheikh will himself to go to Saudi Arabia in the last Ashra of Ramazan. The chief justice postponed the hearing of Imran Khan’s ineligibility case till Thursday.
