Sir: The terror that has visited Quetta recently is an indicator of things to come should hardliners have anything to do with the election campaigns. For too long now, ethnic minorities in the provincial capital have been routinely butchered by the militants ? and this is separate from the violence being meted out by the FC and the nationalists against each other. What we saw in Quetta in the last two days seems to be nothing less than the militants flexing their muscle to show the people that they are in charge. They are attacking Quetta because it is home to the largest Shia Hazara community in Pakistan and it is part of Taliban and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi ideology to wipe out minorities. We must pull together to fight off this monster. HABIB KHAN Lahore
