LAHORE: Fatima Memorial Hospital (FMH) College of Medicine and Dentistry’s Dramatics Club arranged its annual ‘DRAMATHON 2016’, which featured students of FMHCM&D and FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences on Monday. The event was featured on five plays, six short movies and a musical session that was followed by a prize distribution ceremony. The play titled “Insaf” was presented by 1st year MBBS students, the story of which was based on the life of a doctor who does justice with his patients but is very rude to his family. The second play titled “Qasoor” was presented by 2nd year students of MBBS, which featured the story of a child affected by Down’s syndrome. This was also followed by “Mein Aurat Zaat Thehri” of 4th year MBBS students, which was based on a victim of acid attack and her struggle to survive in the society. The fourth play on the occasion was “Bojh” by students of final year MBBS, which focused on the issue of abortion in our society. The last play showcased was “Kathputli” by students of FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences. The play featured story of a mentally and physically disabled child who is abandoned by her real father and adopted by a puppeteer who takes care of her. DRAMATHON 2016 was organised by FMH College of Dentistry Vice Principal Prof Abid Ashar. FMHCM&D Dramatics Club President Shehrbano Ali, Senior Vice President Syeda Warda Batool Ali, Vice President Bilal Chishti and the students of FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry along with FMH Institute of Allied Health Sciences were present on the occasion.
