KARACHI: Former president Asif Ali Zardari has congratulated the Sindh government especially Finance Minister Murad Ali Shah for presenting a poor-friendly budget of year 2016-17. In a statement issued by the party secretariat, Asif Ali Zardari said that keeping the welfare of the poor people uppermost while making the budget was the vision of party leaders Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto. “Keeping alive the traditions of our martyred leaders, the Sindh government has given a pro-poor budget for which it deserves to be complimented,” he added. He said the strength of Sindh budget lies in the fact that it has been formulated in the spirit of reconciliation and participatory politics with emphasis on job creation and focus on benefiting both the people of rural areas and cities of the province. Asif Zardari also appreciated the Sindh government for making special efforts for providing clean drinking water to the people of Thatta.
