RAWALPINDI: The traditional slackness, negligence and lack of interest by the Rawalpindi Police has retarded the pace of sending complete challans of cases amid the reports that 30 police stations of this district have sent complete challans of only 2748 cases out of 7071 cases during five months of this year. This poor performance on the part of the district police has put the future of “Access to Justice Programme” at stake. Police Station Waris Khan was on the forefront of demonstrating slackness by sending only 257 complete challans against 439 registered cases to the courts followed byAirport Police Station which sent challans of 188 cases against 439 registered cases and Pir Wadhai Police Station which sent 135 cases against 431 registered cases.
