LOS ANGELES: Asif Ali Zardari, former president of Pakistan, met Senator John McCain in Los Angeles and discussed bilateral relations between United States (US) and Pakistan. Asif Ali Zardari urged Senator McChain’s support for Pakistan in getting F-16s from the US and emphasised that Pakistan need F-16 and drone technology to fight the war against terrorism which is a big threat not only for Pakistan but for the entire world as well. Zardari emphasised that relations between Pakistan and US should be stronger. He said that Pakistan had suffered a lot due to terrorism. “Our people and soldiers have sacrificed their lives fighting this war,” he said. He added that Pakistan was completely committed to eradicating terrorism from its soil. Both the leaders agreed that democracy should continue and flourish in Pakistan in order to prosper and develop in future.
