ISLAMABAD: Almost 54 repatriated officials of CDA after report to HRD, now sent a written application on the name of grievance notice to CDA Chief under section 33 of executive relation act 2012. The notice has been written from the repatriated officers and requested to withdraw the notification. In the letter, affected officers stated that without their consent and meeting with elected CBA (Collective Bargaining Agent) they were directed to report to HRD which is discrimination. The applicants stated that they were appointed on the posts as per laws and defined post, “we are serving 1066 lodges where the families of Parliamentarians have been residing.” The applicants also raised a question and high reservations that why the civic body increases the strength of employees in the Parliament building which has been only used for the meetings and committee for the MNAs. In the letter the officials vowed that in Parliament Lodges they are working day and night with the help of three shifts of eight hours. There are the technical staff like Plumbers, Electricians, Helpers, Work Supervisors, AC Mechanics, Lift Mechanics, Masons, Pump Operators, Key Makers, Welders etc who are essential for the Parliament Lodges. On the recommendations of Business Advisory Committee of the Parliament 54 CDA employees had been repatriated to their parent department. It has been observed that CDA has issued the revised sanctioned strength of Parliament Lodges and hostel directorate from Director-II on 13th of July this year in pursuance of minutes of the sub-committee of House and Library Committee held on 15th of March this year. Through this notification the authority revised the section strength of 101 posts of Parliament Lodges Directorate, the notice stated.
