ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Tennis Association’s (ITA) junior tennis players have been invited for training and coaching at the Khanna Tennis Academy in New Delhi. An ITA official said on Thursday that a team of emerging junior tennis players was selected from K21 Sports Club and Model Town Lahore. The players and officials include Hasan Said (manager); Maha Said, Muhammad Said, Bilal Asim, Adil Ali Khan, Abdul Sami (players) and Mrs Sobia Asim (parent). The camp is underway in New Delhi and will continue till next month. The players will return on August 12. The invitation for training has been extended by the Asian Tennis Federation President, Anil Khanna, to the patron of the Pakistan Tennis Federation and senior vice president of the Asian Tennis Federation, Syed Dilawar Abbas, and the president of the Islamabad Tennis Association, Tariq Mehmood Murtaza. Under the patronage of Anil Khanna, the Delhi Tennis Association has arranged for the training and lodging of the players at the Khanna Tennis Academy. This step has been taken to extend cooperation between the tennis federations of the two South Asian countries and to ensure their representation at global stage.
