Central Board of Revenue (CBR) Cooperative Employees Housing Society is better than any other society in the twin cities. The remaining eligible and qualified members of CBR will get their plots on priority basis. The audit system of the society is the commendable and a group of exploiters will not succeed in their designs. These views were expressed by President CBR Housing Society Altaf Ahmad Bhat while briefing the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) officers, employees and other members of the society here. He said that CBR housing society is now one of the best cooperative societies among top five in the federal capital. “I want to make it clear that every qualified society member has the right to contest election and become part of the management to serve the members. We will never allow ony one to defame the society to fulfill their ulterior and hidden agendas,” he added. Bhat said that when the present management took charge in 2011, there were only Rs 8 million deposits. “Rs 40 million liabilities of contractors were due and at the same time we were facing the shortage of 1,000 kanals of land. In 2011, the society had only 1300 kanals of land in its phase two which is now near about 7,000 thousand kanals. These all achievements are the success stories and we are proud of it,” he said. “First five blocks of CBR Town Phase 2 Thalian have been developed. Plots in these five blocks are ready for construction and many houses have been constructed and while many are under construction,” Bhat added. Chief Patron of CBR Housing Society Fahimul Haq Khan hailed the contribution of the management and urged them to continue their services for the betterment of the society. Secretary Saleem Khan presented fact finding presentation on power point which was appreciated by participants.
