KARACHI: All Industrial workers would get “Benazir Mazdoor Card” by NADRA very soon for transparently registration and verification with all facilities provided by Sindh Social Security Institutions (SESSI) to them. Sindh Labour Transport Mass Transit and Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah informed while holding a meeting with NADRA authorities led by Director General Sindh Lt. Col. Muhammad Ahmed Khatak at Sindh Assembly Building. The meeting was attended by Commissioner SESSI Farooq Legari, Vice Commissioner Shahid Abdul Salam, Dr. Mumtaz Ali Shaikh Director Medical, Raja Altaf AC Labour Mines Welfare, Ms Tasneem Saeed, Syed Hamid Ali and Director NADRA Khalid Waleed, Qaisar Iqbal and Sidra Ali. On the occasion Sindh Labour Minister has said that the proposal is under consideration to provide “Benazir Mazdoor Card” through a contact to be made with NADRA, under SESSI all registered workers would get such facility. Through which modern system would be evolved to provide services and welfare packages to the all industrial workers. NADRA will issue Benazir Mazdoor Card with all Data Base Registration, verification and all facilities, for which a joint committee has been constituted to ascertain the proposal of NADRA and finalize the recommendation for the benefit for the industrial workers. He said that PPP has always taken a positive measures and established welfare institutions for the laborers to reduce the poverty, alleviate them and enhance their living standard to become useful members of the society, such “Benazir Mazdoor Card” is also a continuation of development program of the PPP for the laborers and workers. DG NADRA Sindh and his team included Khalid Waleed and Qaisar Iqbal briefed the Minister Labour about the salient features of “Benazir Mazdoor Card” including registration, profiling, category, verification and data of employers and workers to ensure transparency and modernization. 2 samples were also displayed which will get approval by the Minister and the Chief Minister Sindh. They also briefed about the various services offered by the NADRA at every level throughout the country for the benefits of general public.
