ISLAMABAD: The federal government, in a secret move, has decided to release special funds to some favorite parliamentarians who are defending the government as well as the Sharif family in the media and in the parliament, sources disclosed. Sources said that a special form had been distributed among some members of the National Assembly of the PML-N.They have been directed to fill this form with the information about the kind of development they wanted in their constituencies and submit it to the Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Sheikh Aftab Ahmad, as soon as possible. When a group of angry MNAs raised this issue at the parliamentary party meeting on Thursday that they were not given development funds and the ministers were ignoring them, then it was disclosed by a senior bureaucrat of the prime minister’s office that a special form had been issued to the MNAs for development funds .on Chaudhry Asadur Rehman and some other MNAs raised the questions that they had not received these forms at all and they demanded of the prime minister to disclose the names of those MNAs who were lucky to get the forms, sources told Daily Times. Sources said that it was a very embracing situation for the PM ,although he did not disclose the names of those MNAs but said that these forms had been distributed among them on his directions and other would also be given the same but sources said that most MNAs were not happy as they were not aware of this secret move. Yes there are near two dozen MNAs that were given special forms and their development schemes would be treated under the special development programme and even they can get one billion rupees for their schemes but it is mandatory that they mention their schemes on the form, one of the MNA who attended meeting told this scribe, on the condition of anonymity. Sources said that the PML-N parliamentary party members in the Senate and in the National Assembly were near 215 but there were 130 to 140 who attended the meeting and over 70 members were missing and despite this meeting the government still failed to maintain the quorum in the National Assembly in these days as mostly members were not attending the session due to differences with the ministers and also due to the non releasing of development funds to them,
