LAHORE: Former president Pervez Musharraf has challenged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif have a debate with him on TV, a private TV channel reported. Musharraf said in an interview with a private TV program that government officials would be in trouble if there was trial of Panama leaks’ allegations. He also said that all the information regarding his (Musharraf’s) assets is on papers of election commission. He also added that he ruled for 10 years, but nobody can prove that he has any off-shore company or any bank account in Geneva. Musharraf asked PM Nawaz to have Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and 15 others alongside him in debate, but he would be all alone. He also said that he was in favour of neutral parliamentary commission, which should compare tenures of Musharraf and PM Nawaz. He added that he expected justice from the courts, which he had not got yet. He said that everybody knew the cases were opened against him for political reasons and there was no evidence against him. He said that cases were going on against him for years and he had appeared in all the courts 15 times. Talking about Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, he said that the army chief should remain chief but it was his own decision if he wanted to stay. He also said that the Army thought that there was injustice going on with him and government should know that.
