KARACHI: The security agencies are committed to complete China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) besides protecting Gwadar mega project to make it most successful project. China Overseas Port Hold Company Limited (COPHC) would encourage more and more Pakistanis investors to get their due share from benefits of mega project. Pakistani exporters should acquire land in Gwadar free zone area. There is 23 years complete tax holiday in free zone, 99 year lease for investors, construction of East Bay Expressway, road net work connectivity from Gwadar to upcountry, New Gwadar International Airport, 300 megawatts power plant, fresh water treatment plant, liquefied natural gas terminal and pipeline, Pak China Technical and Vocational Institute, business centre and international standard exhibition centre will make it state of the art mega project. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon former chief of Indentor Association of Pakistan and body’s chairman on Federal Board of Revenue Liaison Committee during meeting with vice General Manager, COPHC Peter informed that Gwadar free zone would be built near Gwadar Port with about covering area of 2,260 acres of land. Initial area of free zone covering land about 80 acres has already acquired by Chinese companies engaged in fishery processing, marble cutting, petrochemicals and other economic activities. All negative efforts and intentions will fail completely due to firm commitment of our government and Army who which was providing foolproof security and keeping close eyes on each and every aspects of Gwadar mega project. Director General Gwadar Port Abdul Raziq Durrani said concerned government departments would take care of Pakistani investors and existing industries in all over Pakistan and consult with all stakeholders in this regard. We have no doubt about the great success of this mega project as a symbol of Pak-China friendship as economic hub of Pakistan, he added.
