Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari while talking to journalists, urged the federal government to announce a special package for health professionals who are in front-line in the fight against COVID-19. Talking to journalists, the PPP chairman demanded of the government to convert the federal budget into corona budget. He said that we are in a state of war and added that in this situation many countries were utilizing part of their GDP in fight against the virus. Bilawal said that International Monetary Fund (IMF) Asian Development Fund (ADF) and G-20 provided financial support to Pakistan to deal with the prevailing situation. He said that the federal government should focus on the economy of entire country. Pakistan should also use some percentage of its gross domestic product for relief like other countries, he added. He said,”We have also to focus on the agriculture sector because food security is an issue now for the entire world.” He urged the government to announce a relief package for the agriculture sector. Bilawal asked the Federal Government to help the provinces in countering the locust attack on crops as plants’ protection was a federal subject.
