NEW YORK: Polish top seed Agnieszka Radwanska demolished Petra Kvitova in straight sets to advance to the final of the Connecticut Open in New Haven. World number four Radwanska swatted aside her Czech opponent in just over an hour, winning 6-1, 6-1 to advance to Saturday’s final. Kvitova, who arrived in the US after winning a bronze medal at the Olympics earlier this month, was never in contention as Radwanska dominated from the outset to advance. The two-time defending champion will now play Ukrainian 10th seed Elina Svitolina in the final. Svitolina earlier took care of Sweden’s Johanna Larsson in straight sets, advancing with a 6-4, 6-2 victory.
