The Frontier Corp (FC) troops, deployed at Bagyari post of Jamrud, refused the doctors fighting against the COVID-19 in Headquarters (HQ) Hospital, Landi Kotal, to go to Peshawar to attend an important training session pertaining to the deadly coronavirus here on Wednesday. Dr Inayat, the in charge doctor of the isolation ward in HQ Hospital said that last day he along with Dr Muhammad were on way to Peshawar from Landi Kotal to join an important session regarding the coronavirus when they were stopped by the FC soldiers at Bagyari check post and denied them to pass the check point. He said that beside that they showed their identification cards and explained them purpose of their visit, the troops refused and asked them to move back, he remarked. “The inflexible behaviour of the FC personnel depraved them of the fruitful coronavirus learning session that is injustice to them,” he remarked. Members of the civil society criticized the rude attitude of the FC and said people in other parts of the world valued services of the health officials in the critical situation, prevailed of COVID-19 but ironically here in merged districts, the security agencies officials involved in abusing them. They demanded of the forces high-ups to take notice of the matter and adopt measures to avoid happening in future. Meanwhile three more COVI-19 positive cases has been confirmed that raise number of the coronavirus effectees to seven here on Wednesday. The health official told that they had took samples of wife and mother of a coronavirus effectee, Taj Nabi, presently admitted in isolation ward for laboratory test. Last day both of the test were detected positive, the official confirmed. Another Lahore returned suspected, Haji Karim Shelmani, resident of Loy-Shelman test was also confirmed COVID-19 positive and the local administration quarantined his village in Landi Kotal. It is worth mentioning here that so far in Pakistan 4194 COVID-19 positives cases have been confirmed while the disease have killed 60 persons and 467 patients have recovered. Separately, on the third consecutive day, thousand of Afghanistan bound Afghan national crossed the Torkham border to their native land. The forces official told that on complaint of Afghan government that they could not manage more than thousand of their citizens, the Pak border security forces only let first arrived thousand Afghan to move to their country and resent the rest of them. It is to be stated here that as per directive of the federal government, the Torkham border will suspend for all kind of movement from tomorrow after temporary resuming for four days.
