CHARSADDA: Chapirchal, a non-government organisation, arranged a free medical camp for deserving patients, mostly elderly men, women and children of Hajizai village in Charsadda district. A total of 400 patients were examined and provided free medicines. Free sugar tests were also held. The camp was arranged under the supervision of medical specialist Dr Ramiz, children specialist Dr Idrees and gynaecologist Dr Lubna Jehanzeb, on Sunday. “Non-availability of a balanced diet and lack of cleanliness are the main causes of widespread diseases in the area,” Dr Ramiz said. Local elders and female patients praised Chapirchal for arranging the camp. Sana Gulzar, chairperson of Chapirchal, said that it was a new organisation, which was aiming to provide basic facilities of health and education in the rural areas of the province.
