Karachi: Veteran businessman and Chairman of AKD Group Aqeel Karim Dhedhi (AKD) has said that Pakistan is a nuclear power and India will not dare to attack any nuclear power. In case of any Indian aggression at Pakistan’s borders business community will be at forefront with Pakistan’s military to defend the motherland in all possible manners. Talking to Daily Times about the current geo political situation here on Friday, AKD said that Pakistan is the only country in the world which has suffered from the worst kind of terrorism and fought the menace of terrorism. On the other hand India has been fanning anti-Pakistan sentiments and promoting terrorism inside Pakistan, he added. There are more than 20 active separatists movements in India but Pakistan never talked about those movements. Pakistan always talks about core issue of Kashmir but Indian dishonest attitude has always been main obstacle in the way of solution to the core issue, AKD observed. Unfortunately Pakistan has not been aggressive to highlight the core issue of Kashmir and show the true face of Indian atrocities in occupied land.” The recent speech of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was “slightly better” but Pakistan needs to more aggressively raise the issue of Kashmir in the world. Apart from China we need to take other countries into confidence on our Kashmir narrative”, AKD said. With the onset of mega project ,China Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC Indian atrocities in Pakistan particularly in Balochistan province have multiplied. I am confident that the CPEC project will be completed according to the schedule because military and civil leadership of the country are on the same page in this respect. “The people of Pakistan have realized that the CPEC is the matter of Pakistan’s economic survival and self reliance and Indian dream will not be materialized”, AKD viewed. However, both the countries should realize that the war is not the only option to resolve bilateral conflicts because on both sides of border millions of humans will suffer even more, AKD said adding that governments must find peaceful solution to the regional issues particularly main issue of Kashmir. Responding to a question about the current state of Pakistan’s economy, he said that country may face tough days ahead because of repayments of debts. Efforts should be expedited to bring back the money Pakistanis have invested in offshore companies to build up country forex reserve position, AKD suggested.
