KARACHI: While expressing displeasure over not submitting medical report regarding physical health of former chairman board of secondary education Karachi (BSEK) Anwar Ahmed Zai the Sindh High Court (SHC) summoned to secretary health Sindh for October 5. Zai was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB) team on corruption charges on August 25 later he moved to SHC seeking bail and provision of medical facilities. In the previous hearing the court directed to constitute a board for medical check up of Zai and submit its findings before the court. In Friday’s preceding which was conducted before a division bench headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto, the counsel for petitioner submitted that Zai is suffering of several disease, the court may kindly direct concerned authorities to provide him medical treatment facilities. While the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor stated that petitioner has been involved in corruption and reference has been launched against him. Anwar Zai 72, was a most influential official, Was appointed as Chairman Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Mirpur Khas in 2004 on contract basis. Later in 2006 Zai was appointed as Chairman Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) and got extension 2 times. After the completion of extension period Anwar Zai succeeded in getting an other important position and was appointed as Chairman BSEK in 2015.
