ABBOTTABAD: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has inaugurated a fourth battalion of Pakistan Army during his visit to military academy in Kakul on Monday, local news channel reported. Pakistan Military Academy Training and Evaluation Head Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa welcomed the army chief upon his arrival. General Sharif said that the officers of the military have kept the tradition of fighting in the frontline alive in war on terrorism. The army chief called for the upcoming generation of military leaders to equip themselves with the highest skill and professional training of every relevant discipline. “With an enhanced degree of professional ethos, pride and esprit de corps we can meet all challenges effectively and comprehensively,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) quoted the army chief. Only after acquiring advanced education and training could the soldiers effectively face challenges that were faced by the country, he said.
